Recent Geekbench scores reveal upgraded performance on the Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus. The device was previously spotted around two months ago. Now, the latest appearance suggests the inclusion of an upgraded Snapdragon processor.

With a 4.47GHz chip, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus scored 3160 and 9941 points in Geekbench 6. It’s a major improvement as compared to the previous scores, which were 3054 and 9224 in single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.

The late September appearance of the S25 Plus revealed the Snapdragon 8 Elite with 4.19GHz CPU frequency. Meanwhile, the latest benchmark listing keeps the same chipset, but with a boosted CPU frequency of up to 4.47GHz.

Notably, the chip features octa-core architecture. Besides, the benchmark revealed Galaxy S25 Plus will boot Android 15 out of the box. It will be paired with 12GB of RAM, which may be accompanied by 256GB and 512GB storage.

Snapdragon 8 Elite ‘for Galaxy’

Qualcomm may supply “Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy” to Samsung. The chipset could power the upcoming flagship phones: S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. Compared to the standard variant, the “for Galaxy” model has boosted CPU frequency.

Overclocked chipset unlocks even more potential of the chipset’s capabilities. We can’t easily identify the difference between both versions. However, the performance and stability are greatly impacted by CPU frequency.

Samsung may launch the Galaxy S25 series in late January next year. The global shipments may start in the first week of February, and we could get the official teaser and pre-reservations kicking off at the beginning of January 2025.
